Ideas for Google Notebook©
for all grade levels
Taking notes about a particular topic while searching the internet can be a daunting task for students. Sometimes teachers only allow students to print a single page of information from all of the sources that they have found. Other teachers find themselves left with reams of wasted paper when students unintentionally print an entire website instead of printing a specific page. With Google Notebook©, one of the free productivity tools from Google©, note taking becomes much easier and meaningful.
One of the many benefits of using Google Notebook is during research collaboration. Students may share their notebooks with classmates who may make additions and comments. Information is easily manipulated and organized making information gathering on the internet much more easy.
In order to use Google Notebook, users must have a Google account and log in. Taking notes is as easy: simply highlight the desired information and click on the yellow star at the bottom of the notebook. The selected information and site URL will be saved in the notebook.
