Writer's Workshop: publishing step

This is when students finish their piece and share it with an audience. Included on this page is a rubric that can be used by students, teachers, or parents to assess the written work. There are two documents that can be downloaded that will help you guide the students in this step:

  1. Publishing Poster (PDF - you need Adobe Acrobat Reader)
    This poster should be visibly displayed in the classroom for quick reference.

  1. Writer's Workshop Checklist (PDF - you need Adobe Acrobat Reader)
    This one page handout is a valuable resource that students and/or teachers
    can use to record notes on material created in the Writer's Workshop
    during the revising step.
