Literature Links for Secondary
Haiku U
- Haiku U
by David M. Bader
- From Aristotle to Zola, 100 Great Books in 17 Syllables.
The subtitle sums up this fun poetry spoof on some of the world’s
classic literature. Try creating haiku from any assigned class reading.
Haiku, generally a lyric form of poetry written in three lines
of five, seven and five syllables, can be a intriguing and insightful
way to express the “essence” of much longer stories, novels, or
even news stories.
