Stinky the Bulldog
- Stinky the Bulldog
written by Jackie Valent
- As Stinky arrives in a new neighborhood, he is anxious to make new friends. Many life lessons are taught about looking beyond first impressions and the acceptance of differences in others in this compassionate story of true friendship.
Activity Idea:
Use a graphic organizer computer program such as Kidspiration™ to draw a multiple circle organizer (see example1).
Title the surrounding circles with unique group characteristics such as names, transportation to school, like to read, etc. Discuss how, while we all have unique characteristics, we share some with others. The characteristic that they all may share in the middle could be they are all children or they all like ice cream. Talk about how the unique characteristics don’t make them really different from each other.
