Pigs Will Be Pigs
Pigs Will Be Pigs
written by Amy Axelrod
The Pig family is hungry and doesn’t have any food in the house but when they decide to go out to eat they think they don’t have any money either. All the family pitches in to search for a solution around their house.

Activity Idea: Students, using either paper and crayons or a computer drawing program such as Kid Pix™, design a restaurant menu with several items on it. Each item can include a picture and/or description of the item along with its price. After displaying the menus, students are given play money to figure out what they can purchase. Dependent upon grade or learning level, the number of items, and prices should vary. Amy Axelrod’s Pigs Will Be Pigs website includes teaching tips and reading/listening comprehension activities that go along with her book.
