Activity Ideas
After reading this book, discuss the events Lincoln shared that were important in his life. Discuss with students important events in their lives that they would like to share with others. Have students use a computer word processing program such as MS Word™ to describe a memorable event in their life. Combine these events in a “Memories” book or wall display. Students can add illustrations to their writings. Older students may interview an older family member or friend and write a short booklet about their memories.
