Summit Goals

  • Bring together stakeholders from across the state of Indiana to share the status of writing at P-16 grade levels.
  • Discuss information among education, business and community leaders to better define the writing needs of Indiana students.

Brief Overview

Summit attendees were stakeholders representing P-16 educators, business people, community leaders, politicians, and professional organizations. Participants were given opportunities to interact in small groups to identify needs and recommendations around the topic of writing. Poster sessions were available for the purpose of sharing information about various groups that provide professional development or materials related to writing instruction.
